Senior Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) Consultant:
Locations: Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ
Summary:
Lewis & Fowler EPMO (Enterprise Program Management Office) Consultants work with our clients to assess EPMO needs, develop and implement EPMO strategies, roadmaps, and processes in the following areas:
• PM/EPM tool selection and implementation,
• Portfolio management and governance processes
• Executive reporting
• Communications planning and implementation
• Resource utilization
• General project management practices
• EPMO process integration
The successful Lewis & Fowler Consultant must have outstanding leadership, analytical and communication skills. They must have the initiative to quickly assess the current state and, using industry best practice, Lewis & Fowler best practices and their own experience develop creative solutions that meet our client's expectations. Consultants should have many years of complex project management in large corporate environments and EPMO experience preferable in leadership or consultative roles. Experience with multiple tools, i.e. MS Project Server, Niku, Clarity, Primavera, Planview etc. is required.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of relevant experience (IT consulting, IS dept), comprised of:
• Prefer 5 years in consulting, contracting, or client service (Big 5 a plus).
• Prefer 5 years of large team (>30 team members) project management experience.
• Recent EPMO leadership or consultant experience implementing practices
• Successfully delivered multiple projects of at least $3M
Preferred Functional / Technical Skills:
• Ability to create, execute, and track complex project plans.
• Ability to manage customer relationships at the executive level.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, initiatives, and resources at once.
• Strong understanding of knowledge management, resource management, project management and project budgeting.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, data modeling, SQL, programming concepts, and distributed computing environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
• Workshop/Requirements definition facilitation skills
• MS Project or Niku Workbench experience or other relevant tool experience
• IT Metrics development
Educational Background:
• BA/BS required (Computer Science, Information Services, Finance or related field) MBA/MS a plus PMP Certification a plus
