Account Manager – Aerospace & Defense
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Summary
The Account Manager will manage the daily activities for one or more high profile clients in the Aerospace Defense industry. The account manager will, at a high level, oversee work delivery, quality and customer satisfaction. The Account Manager will work with the Sales team to identify sales opportunities, develop account plans and develop and present proposals.

Job Description:
  • Manage and assisting with proposals and presenting proposals to clients and/or managing partner.
  • Manage and mentor consultants on projects, ensuring quality and following up and providing on-going support, as necessary, including performing performance evaluations with consultants.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and project success and ensure that the client is satisfied and in good standing with project completion/renewal/additional work at all times.
  • Become the main point of contact with clients and manage the client relationship through all phases of the delivery lifecycle including scope planning, leading projects, leading requirements analysis sessions and directing implementation teams.
  • Manage client P&L including, but not limited to, invoicing.
  • Handle paperwork, reporting and information gathering/entering, as required.
  • Assist with setting up client meetings.
  • Partner with Lewis & Fowler sales organization to identify potential sales opportunities in the existing client base and work with the Sales Director for follow-up and development of account plans.
  • Participate, contribute and/or organize business development events such as web casts, seminars, brown bag sessions, industry conferences, partner events, etc.
  • Work with Sales Director on pipeline generation and prospecting activities/campaigns within assigned accounts or targeted anchor accounts.
  • Fulfill targeted annual sales quota.
  • Build client success stories and references.
  • Understand all the services being purchased by the client and the value proposition of each.
  • Become a “trusted advisor” of clients.
  • Play the role of “customer advocate,” while always being an advocate for Lewis & Fowler.
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and industry trends.
  • Work with clients to plan for the implementation of new services/products.
  • Ensure that all client contracts and data are stored in the appropriate Lewis & Fowler system, and that such data is accurate and up-to-date. Document all sales activity and client interaction using Salesforce.com.
  • Must have the ability to collaborate across the organization to ensure client satisfaction.

Professional Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 4+ years of account management experience in professional services or consulting in the Aerospace & Defense environment.
  • 10+ years project management experience.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Exemplary high standards of customer service, honesty and integrity required.
  • Ability to use initiative in identifying, addressing and resolving day-to-day issues and challenges.
  • Ability to work appropriate hours to complete tasks, meet goals and support project teams.
  • Disciplined and able to work independently.
  • Strong, positive work ethic required.
  • Previous sales experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Travel will be required.
  • Clearances may be required.
